NORFOLK ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS

REPORT OF THE MEETING ON MONDAY 10^th SEPTEMBER 2007

1. PRESENT

There were eight members present

2. NORWICH LECTURE

This will take place at the UEA on 20^th November. The speaker will be Jim Eyre of Wilkinson Eyre.

3. CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARDS

The deadline for nominations will be Friday 1^st February and the Supper will be on Monday 21^st April 2008.

4. NORWICH AND NORFOLK FORUM

A programme of events has been agreed and will be circulated to members as soon as possible. Monthly discussion forums will be held at NewMu on the first Wednesday of each month commencing October. 6.30 to 7.45 pm.

5. REGIONAL COUNCIL

Regional Council has a CPD restricted fund and ideas for a bid will be discussed at the next meeting. Despite withdrawal of funding from the Arts Council, Regional Council is determined that Architecture Week will continue. Members are urged to apply for Award Dinner tickets.

6. CPD

A presentation by Carpenter Oak and Woodland is planned for January 2008.

7. CITY HALL MAKEOVER

Michael Innes is due to meet with the Chief Executive at City Hall and has had positive support from Charles Clarke. He is proposing to speak to the Lib Dems and the Greens.

Monday 8^th October at 4.30 pm at the offices of LSI Architects.
