NORFOLK ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS

REPORT OF MEETING ON MONDAY 12^th NOVEMBER 2007

1. PRESENT

There were nine members present

2. NAA REPRESENTATIVES

Michael Innes is in the process of updating the list of NAA representatives on other bodies.

3. NORWICH LECTURE

This will take place on 20^th November with Jim Eyre of Wilkinson Eyre – Exploring Boundaries. David Chipperfield has been invited to speak at the 2008 Lecture.

4. WEDNESDAY ARCHITECTS FORUM

These are being well attended. The next WAF is on 5^th December at the Murderers Arms and will be on Planning.

5. CPD

A CPD event is being organised by Carpenter Oak on 17^th January. This will be a half day seminar and will cost £30.00 to include a sandwich lunch. Details will be emailed to members.

6. AGM 2008

This will be held on Thursday 15^th May. Sunand Prasad has been asked to speak.

7. CPD RESTRICTED BID

A bid will be submitted for a projector and screen at the regional council meeting on 6^th December.

8. NEWS BLOG – www.naablog.co.uk

The Blog is set up and ready to go. Articles are needed.

9. REGIONAL COUNCIL

The next meeting is 6^th December.

10. EDP COLUMN

12 topics and speakers were agreed but it is hoped that members not on Council will contribute articles.

11. EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES

Practices are receiving unsolicited emails from employment agencies attaching CVs which have already been received directly from applicants. The employment agencies are then demanding finder’s fees. MWI will take this to Regional Council.

Monday 10^th December - 4.30 pm at the offices of LSI Architects.
