REPORT OF THE MEETING ON MONDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER
2004
There were eight
members present.
NAA has been invited by The Sustainable Development Broads Authority to take contribute to a seminar.
The Civic Trust is looking for suitable projects in the Suffolk area for their Awards.
A letter of thanks has been received for the NAA’s part in this year’s Architecture in Schools projects. Architects are being sought for next year’s project.
Tony Cleary will be attending the Regional Council meeting on 15th September followed by the RIBA AGM.
Roger Shrimplin and Geraint Johns are the Eastern Region council representatives.
Income and Expenditure Account schedules were distributed
The
next newsletter underway and will be printed this month for distribution in
October.
David
Thompson reported on meetings of the Quality Panel and the Liveable Cities
Project.
Planning
Application has been submitted. The
Quality Panel has drawn attention to the desirability of involving a public
artist.
Sir
Nicholas Grimshaw will give a talk on Structure, Space and Skin and it will
take place at the UEA on 18th November 2004
David Ford has received five responses to his recent request, each detailing two or three projects. There will be a poster to accompany the exhibition, which will be sponsored by architecture practices.
10. ARCHITECTURE WEEK – 17th to 26th June 2005
Discussion took place about events for next year.
11. CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARDS
David Ford advised that judges from the architectural profession and City College are needed for next year’s awards.
12. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on Monday 11th October 2004.
