from NAA Council Meeting held on the 12th of
January 2004
- Present
Twelve
members of Council were present.
- Minutes
of the Last Meeting
The
minutes of the meeting of 8th
December were read and accepted as a true
record.
- Vice
President
The
position of Vice President remains vacant
but steps are being taken to fill this
role.
- Eastern
Region
Discussion
took place on What Members want
from the Eastern Region RIBA.The
president is to respond to Eastern Region
- Regional
Post
Chris
Heuvels term on Regional Council
expires in September 2004 and
consideration is to be given to future
NAA representation at Regional level.
- Financial
Report
A
budget for 2004 was presented to the
meeting. December 2004 shows a break-even
position providing no events take place
that need funding. It was agreed that it
is necessary to host some moneymaking
events in 2004.
- Architecture
in Schools
Roy
Payne reported that he had secured the
services of six architects although one
architect had, subsequently, dropped
out. Efforts are to be made to fill
this position.
- NAA
Exhibition
There
is still a lack of response to David
Fords request for exhibition
material so no progress can be reported.
- 2004
Craftsmanship Awards
Nominations
for The Craftsmanship Awards are being
sought and a presentation dinner will be
held on Monday March 29th 2004
at the Jarvis International Hotel,
Norwich.
- City
Marketplace
Lengthy
discussion took place on the three
proposals for the Market Place. The
President is to put the views of the NAA
Council to Norwich City Council.
- AGM
Minutes
Minutes
of the 2003 AGM are to be distributed
with the next edition of the newsletter.
