NORFOLK ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS

REPORT OF THE MEETING ON TUESDAY 19TH JUNE 2007

 

1.    PRESENT

There were ten members present

 

2.    CORRESPONDENCE

Gabi Feingold had written to RIBA East about the lack of training for Home Information Packs and was concerned that RIBA had not made an official comment.  GF has received a response which was read to the meeting.

 

3.    ACCOUNTS

Income and Expenditure schedules were circulated.  There has been little activity.

 

4.    NEWSLETTER

Gabi Feingold is unable to commit the time to continue with the newsletter.  The idea of a Blog was discussed which Philip Durban volunteered to edit.  It was also suggested that a regular column in the EDP should be written.  Ideas will be discussed more fully at the July meeting.

 

5.    AGM

To take place after this meeting with Jason Borthwick as speaker.  Chalcroft is, once again, kindly sponsoring the event.

 

6.    NORWICH LECTURE

Gary Pearce is to contact a number of possible speakers before the next meeting.

 

7.    NAA REPRESENTATIVE

Paul Wilson advised that from September 2007 to the end of 2008 is the ISE Centenary Year.

 

8.    NORWICH AND NORFOLK FORUM

Michael Innes’s talk on City Hall Makeover was deemed a great success with over 150 attendees.  Michael Innes will now prepare Green and Financial Essays and meet with City Councillors.

 

9.    DATE OF NEXT MEETING

The next meeting will be held on Monday 23rd July 2007 at the offices of LSI Architects LLP at 4.30 pm.
