REPORT OF THE MEETING ON MONDAY 15th
JANUARY 2007
There were ten members present.
2. ACCOUNTS
Income and Expenditure schedules were circulated. The accounts for the year to 31.12.06 were presented to the meeting and approved.
3. NEWSLETTER
Gabi Feingold will complete the outstanding issue in the New Year and will then decide whether she feels able to take on the role of Editor. It was suggested that the number of newsletters per annum be reduced.
The Norwich Society is looking for new judges and feel the position would suit a recently retired architect.
The NFCI are pushing ahead with producing a Green Book, which will give the NFCI an added purpose.
Kathy Thurman explained the role of the Construction Industry Council and will keep NAA Council advised of its activities.
5. EXHIBITION
It was agreed that the existing exhibition is getting old and new material is to be sought.
6. CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARDS
The judging panel is in place with Roy Payne, Ruth Brennan and Roy Harris. There is no judge from a construction college this year. Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth Colleges will be approached to provide a judge for next year. NPS have volunteered to help with the judging next year.
7. NORWICH AND NORFOLK FORUM
Michael Innes wishes to host a public debate about the City Centre and around the Market Place. NAA will provide a venue.
It is still the intention to hold monthly informal forums and venues are currently being looked at.
8. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on Monday 19th February at the offices of LSI Architects LLP at 4.30 pm.
