REPORT OF THE MEETING ON MONDAY 11th OCTOBER 2004
There were ten
members present.
The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers is looking for an architect to sit on its judging panel. The presentation of the awards will take place at the House of Commons.
David Thompson of LSI Architects LLP is now the Vice-Chair of Eastern Region
As yet, there are no plans to cut the grant from Eastern Region to its branches.
The Awards dinner was a success.
Robin Vaughn of the ARB has asked that people advertising themselves as architects who are not qualified are reported to him.
Income and Expenditure Account schedules were distributed.
The budget for 2005 will be discussed at the November meeting.
Roy
Payne has volunteered to coordinate next year’s architecture in schools
project. Schools have showed plenty of
interest and it is now necessary to find six architects to take part.
Sir
Nicholas Grimshaw will give a talk on Structure, Space and Skin and it will
take place at the UEA on 18th November 2004.
David Ford has now received responses from seven practices wishing to take part in the exhibition. Five of these have offered sponsorship for the poster. It is hoped the exhibition will be ready in time for the Norwich Lecture.
8. AGM 2005
Plans for the AGM in 2005 were discussed.
9. DEBATE ON THE QUALITY OF HOUSING DESIGN
Plans are being made to host a debate on the quality of housing design to take place in February/March 2005.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 8th November 2004.
