NORFOLK ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS

REPORT OF MEETING ON MONDAY 10th NOVEMBER 2008

 

1.    PRESENT

There were six members present

 

2.    ACCOUNTS

The projector still has to be ordered.  It was agreed not to order a spare bulb.

 

3.    WEDNESDAY ARCHITECTS FORUM

November Forum was well attended and well received.  The December Forum is on Green Houses with Paul Lucas and Mike Walker.

 

4.    NORWICH LECTURE

The Lecture will now be given by Roddy Langmuir as Ted Cullinan is still recovering from an operation.  Carters have agreed to go ahead on this basis.  Approaches will be made for a speaker for the 2009 Lecture.

 

5.    NORFOLK ARCHITECTURE WEEK

Exhibition space at the Forum is to be booked for the six days commencing 15th November.  A working group of four/five is being formed to organise other events to take place over this period of time.

 

6.    PRACTICE CARD

Charles Emberson will circulate a proposed design to Council members for comment and amendment prior to the next meeting.

 

7.    CPD

It is hoped to organise a further event in February/March 2009.

 

8.    NAA REPRESENTATIVES

A student representative is needed to sit on Council.

 

9.    CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARDS

Volunteers are still needed to form a panel of judges despite an email being circulated asking for expressions of interest.

 

10. AOB

Mike Innes is to write to Norwich City Council to ask where the plans are heading for City Hall.

 

The NAA Blog is going to be amended to allow anyone to contribute.
