REPORT OF THE MEETING ON
There
were thirteen members present together with Tess Tite of Chalcroft Construction
(sponsors of newsletter)
The finalised accounts to 31.12.05 were presented to the meeting and signed by the President. The Treasurer will now submit these to Eastern Region.
3. NEWSLETTER
The winter newsletter has been distributed. Discussion took place about using a publishing company to produce the newsletter but it was agreed this was not the way forward. The newsletter editor is to re-cost the process of producing the newsletter to include a charge for some of his time.
4. NFCI
Hugh Tusting will resign from NAA Council at the next AGM. He will endeavour to find a replacement NFCI representative.
5. CPD
Some CPD events are now being put on the CPD calendar link from the NAA website – www.norfolkarchitects.org.uk It is the responsibility of anyone hosting an event to ensure it is listed.
Tony Cleary put forward proposals for a media-training event and will take this idea forward.
There is a Society of Light and
Lighting master class in
It was suggested that a CPD event should be organised on Law and JCT updates.
It was suggested that the exhibition and poster be made available in time for Architecture Week. Philip Durban has volunteered to assist in taking the poster to the next stage.
7. VACANCIES
There is still a vacancy for Hon Secretary.
8. CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARDS
40 nominations have been received. Judging is to start soon.
9. AGM
The AGM will take place on Thursday 18th May at the Cathedral Refectory. David Littlefield of Building Design will be the speaker. Chalcroft Construction has agreed to sponsor the event.
10. ARCHITECTURE WEEK – 16th to 25th JUNE
Suggestions for events were discussed.
11. THE X LIST
