REPORT OF THE MEETING ON MONDAY 11th
DECEMBER 2006
There
were ten members present.
A letter has been received from a member who sits on a Quality Panel for West Norfolk and King’s Lynn area and is frustrated that his and other member’s views are not being taken into account when planning applications are considered. The President will write to King’s Lynn Borough Council and guidance on how to deal with this issue will be sought from Inspire East.
3. ACCOUNTS
Income and Expenditure schedules were circulated together with budget predictions for 2007.
4. NEWSLETTER
Gabi Feingold will complete the outstanding issue in the New Year and will then decide whether she feels able to take on the role of Editor.
It was suggested that an exhibition to promote good design in housing would be a good way to celebrate RIBA East’s 40th anniversary. David Thompson will take this idea to Eastern Region with a view to receiving funding from the RIBA Trust. This exhibition could then be moved from County to County.
6. CRAFTSMANSHIP AWARDS
Roy Payne has agreed to Chair the judges panel with Ruth Brennan assisting him. Judges from NFB and a construction college still need to be appointed. The form is to be revised to request that only the very best projects are entered.
7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on Monday 15th January at the offices of LSI Architects LLP at 4.30 pm.
